I will let you know. I like the Okuma Solaris rods. I would like to have these in 10' and 11' casting rods. The other Cedros rods that we carry are very nice.

They do look the same but different blanks. I think the cedros will be better. I think the EVX is too stiff

larry i was checking out your site for the okuma solaris and was wondering if you have them at your shop or order them. If you have them and have owned one or handled one is the action in the 11' similar to the emcast by daiwa. Its just a little to stiff for me and am looking for a nice fairly enexpensive rod. I like medium heavy but seems hard to find in 11' casting. Just thought I'd ask. cant help but jock the sealine x but thats the best pole i've used for the money and trying to find something similar since they quit makin em

The emcasts are a fairly stiff rod. There are alot of heavy action 11ft surf rods that arent near as stiff as an 11ft emcast, but the solaris is stiffer than the 11ft emcast. If your wanting something similar to the old sealines check out the daiwa emblem surf, it is 11'4" this is the rod that actually replaced the sealines and sealine x rods. It has a great action it says its heavy action 4-7 oz. but it is more like a medium or medium heavy.
